Telling a story is more about the message than the words. However, it's the words that will be remembered--or forgotten.
As a copywriter, my talent lies in the stories I tell. And the impact that storytelling has on my audience. But I believe in the strength of art + words. It’s the collaborative process of brainstorming and marrying a visual with the right words that bring about the best messages.
My process includes 4 stages on every project—large or small.
1. KNOWING the subject.
2. UNDERSTANDING the audience.
3. CRAFTING the message.
4. DELIVERING the goods.
Each stage is unique to the assignment, but all of them play an essential part of completing the story.
ManeGait Therapeutic Riding Center asked our team to develop a new video that would highlight the mission of the organization and encourage fundraising gala attendees to “give generously.” I collaborated with the art director and account executive to steer the overall message of the video to be about the “Upside of Hope.”
